Single-father households are growing rapidly. In 2023, an estimated 8.51 million families in the U.S. had a male householder with no spouse present.
According to Single Parent Magazine, the number of single fathers has risen by 65% over the past decade, making it one of the fastest-growing family dynamics in the country.
Despite this growth, resources specifically tailored to single dads remain limited or less accessible compared to those for single mothers. Many men also struggle with seeking help, often seeing it as a sign of failure rather than strength.
This is where D.A.D.S. of STL steps in. We provide a safe space for fathers to share their parenting challenges, receive support, and access essential resources. Through mentorship, encouragement, and community, we walk alongside these dads, helping them embrace fatherhood with confidence and pride.

We work with dads, to ensure lasting impact through teaching advocacy, leadership, guidance, social-emotional intelligence, assertive self-expression and healthy relationships, giving them the skills and confidence to thrive as fathers.
Mentor a Child
Are you ready to make a difference? As a mentor for D.A.D.S of Stl you can serve and provide guidance, oversight, and encouragement to a mentee. Through this valuable experience you are able to reach a child, review their progress and help them work towards identified goals by establishing identifiable benchmarks for success.

Our organization encourages the participation of volunteers who support our mission. If you agree with our mission and are willing to be interviewed and trained in our procedures, we encourage you to complete this application.
